Prologue
I am standing next to a garbage storage shed near my apartment building in Cracow, sticking some foam and bubble wrap to my bike for protection. It’s a warm, early summer Sunday and we are packing skis and bikes into the car in which we’ll head to Frankfurt. I’m thinking about all those adventures that started here, by this dumpster. Countless ski trips to Tatra Mountains… the Alps… Georgia… Armenia… Iran… Norway… Pakistan… But there is no time to think about it now, the bike will not pack itself. Adventure awaits!
