The unexpected arrival of tourists and the fact that we already skied all of the most interesting and demanding lines prompted us to change our campsite. During the previous trips to the mountains, we had the opportunity to assess the potential of the neighboring valley and document  it with photos. The decision was made – off we go! Like the prow of a ship, the long rocky ridge divides the glacier into two halves, and the small plateau at the top is a great place for camping.

We were exposed to all the vagaries of the weather in that place, like the figurehead on a ship, but the magnificent view compensated that for us. There were two glacial cirques with huge ice walls in front of our tents. The giants were covered with a white, virgin robe, with a shining in a sun, powerful ice armor, piercing from below. We knew that the mix of snow fields, rocks, and fanciful ice forms meant that there were numerous descending possibilities that awaited us the next day.
