Our first goal is Pisco (5752 m). We join an organized trip going to the picturesque lake called Laguna 69. On the way we have a stop for breakfast and once again we make the mistake of ordering coffee with milk. Don’t do it in Peru, unless it’s a typical tourist place. What you’ll get is a lottery, this time it’s a set consisting of a cup of lukewarm milk, a small jar of very old instant coffee and a teaspoon. Previously, it was a cup of milk, plus some Nescafe not thoroughly dissolved in water, served in a jug. Maybe I’m grumbly, but I like good coffee.
