A plan for the trip was absolutely stellar. Just take a look at the essential infos about it:
- Place – Yukon and Alaska, Haines Pass and Tsirku Glacier
- Film crew – Sherpas Cinema, I am still proud that I was able to work together with these famous artists. On this mission Eric Crossland and Leo Hoorn were responsible for providing the video footage.
- Project – skiing Corrugated (one of the biggest spine walls on Earth) – heliskiing in the brand new tenure at Haines pass
- Camp – to reach Corrugated we have to set up a remote camp on the glacier. We need to reach the location with snowmobiles
- Heliskiing – our base camp will be located at Haines Pass, with the use of motorhomes, wall tents and sauna
- Time – first three weeks of April
- Film crew – videographers: Eric Crossland and Leo Hoorn
- Athletes: Sam Anthamatten, Johnny Collinson, Hadley Hammer and Ralph Backstrom, guides: Yvan Sabourin, Thomas Gaisbacher
Peter Wright, who is the owner of Yukonheli, gave me a call and asked if I could arrive two weeks earlier to help him out setting up the camp for the crew. He also needed someone to explore his brand new heli skiing tenure. So if I could help him to build the camp, I would get free helitime. Holy! Free helitime! That sounded like the best deal I got so far!
