You were always more into filming and shooting pics or did you also compete in freeride comps?

I did some freeride comps indeed, but it was a pure coincidence. My friend that I mentioned before (Piotr Gasiorowski) talked me into taking part in a nearby freeride competition in Slovakia – Jasna Adrenaline at the slopes of Chopok. Now it is a very much established, top rated (4 stars) Freeride World Qualifier event. Back in the days, it was not only a sport rivalry that counted. Let’s say that the apres ski part was quite significant as well (laughs). Piotr already was there several times and he was preparing for another edition. We agreed that before we will go there, we surely need to practice dropping cliffs. So we found some rocks that seemed too big to drop before. I said “OK, watch, I will show you how it should be done” and I dropped one of them. When I stomped the jump, I was very much surprised – it turned out that dropping bigger cliffs is possible!
