The comp I entered was in 2006 and I had a very clear head, wanted to have as much fun as possible. This attitude paid off, and I ended up winning the comp. This got me some respect from other riders, I was able to take part in other comps. I must say that I liked competing, despite earlier I having some issues with that.
I took part in several comps, but with limited funds to travel, performance freeriding just ended naturally. Instead of that I got involved in local ski movie projects and gathering photo content. Promoting my beloved discipline sounded very appealing to me, and everytime I had the opportunity to show others how cool it can be, it was a great deal of pleasure. Now I wish I could get back to the very roots of this passion and ski just for myself as much as possible. Sure, I work as a mountain guide, so I have to suit the plans to the clients, although this still can be a lot of fun and adventure, being in nature. The whole experience counts.
